Drs. Nelson and Hollis-Heiman Attend WI State Chiropractic Association’s Grand 100-Year Celebration at Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells
While attending the WI State Chiropractic Association’s Grand 100-Year Celebration, Dr. Melissa Nelson and Dr. Jamie Hollis-Heiman participated in a learning opportunity regarding Healthy Aging and Anti-Aging with Robert Rakowski, DC, CCN, DACBN, DIBAK.
Dr. Rakowski discussed the fundamentals of nutritional medicine and the latest data on lifestyle and disease including advanced protocols about disease prevention and non-drug treatment options. Key concepts of the symposium centered on an understanding that DNA is dynamic. Healthy and therapeutic lifestyle choices will actually improve your DNA. Unhealthy choices, including ingestion toxins and drugs will damage your DNA. Robert explained that every person is their own genetic engineer. Practicing Lifestyle Medicine will proactively create lasting health and is a very effective response to chronic disease.
Dr. Melissa Nelson explains that these strategies are included with the, “Nelson Healing Center providing nutritional and lifestyle medicine choices to improve biomarkers in aging, reduce chronic illness and enhance quality and duration of life. We continue to strive for a better understanding of the mechanisms of aging in order to answer questions about the underlying biological processes that contribute to an individual’s resistance to a decline in physical and mental vitality.”
At the Nelson Healing Center Dr. Nelson and Dr. Hollis-Heiman assist patients in reclaiming their health with an emphasis on diet and nutrition. This provides a motivation and successful game plan for patients who previously suffered from debilitating symptoms, high risk for disease and frustrating medical problems. They provide a detailed health appraisal questionnaire that addresses detoxification, hormone balancing and lifestyle evaluations and then set up individualized health care plans with non-drug therapies and a full line of herbal, vitamin, and mineral supplements.
